Our Dogs...

We are a small hobby breeder.

We dont have a lot of dogs or operate a kennel.

Our dogs live in our home as a member of our family, getting lots of attention and love.

Our dogs are health screened & genetically tested to ensure we are not producing puppies with any known

or preventable health issues.

Our dogs exhibit calm, smart & attentive temperaments worthy of passing on.

~ Annabelle ~

This little beauty came to our lives when she was just 8 weeks old. I still remember the excitement of her joining our family and counting the days until she was ready to join our home. She had to be flown to us and when we arrived at the airport to pick her up we didn't really know what to expect. When the attendant passed her crate to us and we opened the door, we all instantly fell in love.

Since then she has nuzzled her way into our beds and hearts. She is such a funny, playful, and lovable pooch. No matter what we are doing, she is happy to be by our side. Whether we are on a long hike, puttering in the yard or relaxing on the couch, she is right there following our queue.

We've learned so much from Anabelle and we've shared so much laughter and joy. In fact, she inspired us to start our breeding program.

~ Lilly ~

Lilly is our European gem! She carries many of the top European kennels and comes a long line of dogs with multi championship titles in both field and conformation.

While researching the origins of the English Springer Spaniel (ESS), I learned about the evolution of the breed in North America. Since its introduction here in 1913, our selective breeding practices have resulted in some significant alterations to the breeds

appearance and functionality. We've essentially divided the breed into 2 distinct types: the field (for hunting) and bench (for show).  Many of what I consider to be their most appealing traits, have been bred out of the North American ESS. They now typically have very little markings on their white fur, have excessively thick coats, and are no longer dual function dogs.

I stumbled across some European ESS and was shocked to see they still resemble the look of the breed from hundreds of years ago. Their appearance is of course a bit different than either the North American field bred or bench bred versions; the European ESS have prolific ticking on their white fur, long pendulous ears, a less dense & straighter coat, and a slightly bigger stature. Not only that but the European ESS are still dual function dogs: they compete in both field trials and the show ring quite successfully!

I was excited to realize that the English Springer Spaniel I had admired from old black & white photos still existed (or at least something very close). This initiated my desire to own and produce the English Springer Spaniel as close to its historic roots as possible. After lengthy research and many hurdles, I was finally able to finally bring our first European ESS here to Canada.

Lilly is not only beautiful but she is a total sweetheart! She's laid back and extremely affectionate, often hogging the cuddles intended for others. Everyone who meets this girl absolutely loves her, this is of course no surprise to us.
